Did you know that of Canada's 6 million+ senior citizens, close to 500,000 live in care facilities, such as retirement and nursing homes? These individuals can face both physical and mental health challenges, which have been amplified as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We created Sending Sunshine to try to improve the lives of our beloved and highly valued senior citizens. Help us help them by making a donation or volunteering today!

Founded by four friends, Sending Sunshine is a registered charity that seeks to provide a ray of happiness in the lives of the elderly living in Canadian care facilities. Sending Sunshine collects cards containing uplifting handwritten messages written by people in Canada and beyond. Your cards are delivered to various care facilities, where they are ultimately distributed to the residents. By receiving a handmade card, it is our hope that senior citizens will experience more joy and love in their everyday lives.
